On m’a demandé: "Peux-tu y faire quelque chose?"
Mes jambes vacillaient.

The knots finally loose
In June 11, 2003 while I was visiting Daglio, I received a phone call from Palazzo Doria because there was a very important thing for which my opinion, my presence, was needed.
I felt very embarrassed and uncomfortable, because until then, no one had ever asked me to go to the castle. In fact, I do not know anything really, I am not good at manual work, I have no specific professional experience, I am just able to offer my little physical strength. That said, in truth, since few days, something was in the air, as if my kundalini had been called by someone very "elevated".
It is very difficult to describe what was happening to me, also because I was experiencing a mix of so many emotions, since in that week I was spending my honeymoon with my wife in the Borbera Valley. Of all this joy, I felt as if someone was telling me something important, but obviously I could not understand the meaning. However, I took the car and immediately went to the castle. Until then, the only jobs I had done were at the hangar where I had taken care of the bathrooms and the kitchen. At the castle I had done small manual work and I had taken care of the garbage. I did not understand what I had to do at the castle.
I took the turns like a racing driver and I arrived in a few minutes. Near the castle, I saw a lot of garbage and this reassured me, I thought I might have been called for this job again. I felt a little calmer, sure I understood what I had to do. But, looking at the faces, I saw that it was something very unexpected.
I had seen Shri Mataji three months ago in India. I had taken several days off because our honeymoon was to be in India in March, but eventually we had failed to get the papers in time for my wife who had just arrived from Ukraine a few weeks before. So I went to India without my wife for my "first" honeymoon, but with all the sahaj collectivity. We were in Pune for the Shrivaratri puja, then in New Delhi for the birthday and for the big public program: it was in a stadium, at the end of March 2003. The feeling I had was that soon everyone would know the greatness, the Divinity of Our Mother.
Puja was celebrated in Pune Stadium, Delhi's immense public program with about 100,000 people predicted the advent of mass-level Sahaja Yoga. I had come back from India with an irrepressible joy: to see our happy Mother in the middle of thousands of people was the dream of a lifetime. I came back to Rome and we did our utmost to spread Sahaja Yoga through the programs, having the awareness that little by little everyone would recognize our Mother.
Instead, something happened that I could never have imagined in my life: Shri Mataji felt ill. I could not believe my ears. I was not used to or ready to accept the idea of seeing her in a precarious state of health, especially because of the tour in India where Mother was at the height of her glory. It is true that She had missed two important pujas: that of Easter and Sahasrara, where She had not come, but I would never have imagined such a thing. I had heard rumors about it but it was as if my personality refused to listen to it. At the castle, I was greeted by some Yogis who told me about the health of Mother who had been bedridden for several months. And now She had a hair problem. I was asked, "Can you do something about it?" At the age of 16 just for the pleasure of knowing life, I had started a hairdresser training. In fact, later it had become my job and in my spare time it was with great pleasure that I took care of the hair of many Sahaja Yogis and Yoginis. It happens that during those years, among others, I became good to untie the knots of countesses who - after two to three months of boat - were returning to the mainland with their hair completely tangled. I had become a specialist in this field because none of my colleagues had the patience to overcome it. So when I was asked if I could undo the many knots in Shri Mataji's hair, I said yes. But I was so confused that I did not really understand what was going on.
I was taken to Shri Mataji. My legs were wobbling. I wanted to cry when I saw our Mother so ill. But I could not, I had to stay focused, because I had been warned that: "If you can not untie the knots, the alternative is to cut all her hair to prevent her from suffering . "As I approached her hair, I sincerely felt deeply despairing: all Shri Mataji's hair was completely tangled, there was not a single inch of hair free. It was unbearable! How could such a thing happen when we know that Her hair is a powerful weapon? I knew very well that our Mother, at Puja's ceremony, when looking at the mirror, was actually looking at the World and when She was combing Her hair She was resolving the problems of Humanity. So I felt as all the knots were all our problems, all of our negativity. In addition to this bad feeling, I also felt very guilty because I felt that all my problems had been the ones of our Mother in these last years.
In the meantime, the Sahaja Yogis had asked me again if I was really sure of being ablt ot do the job. I had a moment of lucidity and I said "yes". I was escorted back to my room and got an appointment for the next day.
I immediately went to buy the things I needed. I got out of the castle as if I were coming out of a nightmare. I could not believe what I had seen. Our very sick Mother, sitting on an armchair with an aspect I never imagined to see. I went to buy things for the next day, a very good hair cream and a comb with very sharp teeth, the saleswomen said nothing to me, I was cry constantly, not even hello. Back in Cabella, I remember spending the night staring at the sky, with only one question in my heart: Mother, what's going on? My mind was filled with thoughts, but I understood I had to keep calm for the next day.
On June 12, 2003 I arrived in the morning at the castle and I was immediately taken to Shri Mataji's room. She was suffering and I invoke all the Deities to help me in this difficult job. We have to break all the knots without hurting Our Mother. I took her hair in my hand and I was very surprised to see that they were very, very thin. I had always imagined them very thick considering they are invincible weapons. Instead, they were very thin and I did not know where to start work.
She had been bedridden since April and when someone had tried to comb her hair, he had hurt her. In order not to do her any harm, they decided to leave her hair like that. But day after day, her hair had become more and more tangled up to the present state. I saw in her hair all our problems, I saw my own and those of the whole world. With all these knots, I also saw the risk of a third world war with all the violence and all the evil. But above all, I could not accept her illness. It was unfair for Mother to bear our problems.
Slowly I began to sort out a few knots one by one, but the situation was really tragic. I could not be strong on it because otherwise I was going to hurt Shri Mataji. But if my hand was too light, nothing would happen. I started to panic a bit but I understood that I had to stay calm and concentrate on what I had to do on a practical level to solve the problem. I had to think of nothing else and especially I had to leave my feelings aside, completely.
I concentrated and put a lot of cream. I was trying to let the hair absorb the cream: the cream was like the love that must soften a tense situation and the comb was like a tool that must solve the problem. Finally, I realized that I did not have to rush to prove to others that I could do it, because obviously, the people around me did not believe that I could undo all the knots.
I came into a witness state in a slow but resolute manner. I defeated the thousands of knots by relying on the strength that came from Shri Mataji. Indeed, for the first time in my life, I could not put my attention on Shri Mataji, otherwise I would have stuck, I would have begun to cry at what I saw. It was a paradox for me because all my life, since I was little, I had been trying to keep my attention on God, and now that I was in front of God, touching her hair, I was not able to think about it. Too complicated for us Human beings but that was the only way for me to work with lucidity.
Slowly, very slowly, the knots began to leave room for a few inches of smooth hair but sometimes they seemed to reform. All this tired Mother so they began to put a little pressure on me, urging me to speed up. I panicked again, because obviously, if I went faster, I would have hurt her.
I just had to put my attention on her Sahasrara: I had imagined it several times, but this time it was before my eyes, in my hands. I was trying to keep working and keeping my attention on each and every hair at a time.
Every now and then, the grandchildren, the daughters, came to see us and impatience was felt. I still put a lot of cream to create a gap between the fully wrapped hair. The situation was such that taking a single hair, it was the whole mass of hair that moved, so they were tangled ... She was beginning to suffer and I found myself sinking into the abyss of my existence. I was in crisis. What helped me not to give up was the fact that I had to do it for Shri Mataji and for all those who wanted to see her again. I tried to have a mixture of strength, determination, softness and lightness, to untangle her hair. It seemed to work.
In fact, I was inspired by the way Shri Mataji has always acted with us, being determined to erase all our problems, with great gentleness and a great maternal instinct. So I found a way to get to the solution, trying to imitate what Mother had done for us, showing great patience, determination and a lot of love to dissolve all our anger. There were breaks, but we were on the right track. Hair after hair, the comb with the cream dissoved all the knots! Finally, nearly five hours later, I could comb her hair completely.
When the comb finally slipped away without interruption, I felt a flood of vibrations coming from everywhere. There were no blockages, but at the same time I was afraid to carry the comb to her head because I felt that her hair was like that of a "child" and at the same time I thought that it was the hair of the Devi. I continued to comb her hair having trouble believing that there are no more knots. Finally, we had accomplished the mission.
This feeling of having before me a "little girl", I recognize that I tried several times to make it emerge. Perhaps even his unusual state of health, which, according to Maya, could be described as precarious, has aroused in me this feeling. It was as if I had known all the phases of the life of Shri Mataji, at the stage of child, mother and Adi Shakti. Obviously She is immutable, it is as if I had lived her human journey. Now She was entering the stage where She wanted to look "old" to maybe prepare us to Her leaving her physical body.
Now the atmosphere had completely changed, it a party was going on around Shri Mataji. At last I saw her smile and it transported me to another state. Finally I could say I was facing the Devi. She was radiant, everyone was happy. Around Shri Mataji, it was a feast. She asked me to touch her lotus feet, but I did not feel like doing it. After all this work, which was evidently a work on ourselves, I did not want to touch it anymore because I did not want to bring my impurities to her. In the past, even more than today, I had many limitations as a Sahaja Yogi, even though I was in an important moment of my life, I knew that it came only from her blessings. So I did not feel touching her feet, but I greeted her with a "namaskar" ... At that moment, inside of me, I hear her talking to me and asking me: "What gift can I give you?" I recognized that I had already received everything from her but, if there was a desire in me, it was that of having a baby. A few days later, my wife told me the good news ...
I also asked Mother to help us to understand how to accept her "suffering" appearance and hoping it to be very short. Inevitably, as it is for many, I began to feel guilty of all the suffering we human beings have caused her in her Divine existence.
Later, Shri Mataji went to bed. She was able to rest. As I was still there, I was asked if I could cut the tips that were bit damaged. So, while She was resting, I slowly cut the ends of her hair and and everything starts to look very beautiful. I then asked to these spiked tips that were in my hand, that the evil that exists in each Sahaja Yogi could be destroyed.
As She rested, we could offer her our devotion; at that moment, I was calmer. I left Shri Mataji while She was sleeping. I walked with more tranquility and especially with the assurance that all the knots had gone.
It was as if all the evil had disappeared and that now we were going to try to behave in a better way. In fact, after that period, we had very difficult years. All this time I thought about what I had experienced that day. In fact, it was always evident to me that each of us can be like this comb and solve the problems that are manifested, the problems we have in our homes, in our collectives, in our society, which are in us all. I think this is really our job: to use the cream of love to make everything more flexible, more fluid and dedicate our life to solve and totally cancel all the problems that exist. It's a very difficult job, but we have to do it and above all it can be done because behind us She is the one who pushes us, who supports us and lead us to the final goal.
I would like to recall that what helped me that day to do this work on her hair was only the desire to be able to do something beautiful for our Mother.
Let us make sure that every day of our lives, actions, thoughts, and will are a gift to our Mother, that She may be pround of us her children, because we now have the ability to forgive, tolerate and be patient, to face and overcome many problems that exist in the world ... So we can say to her: "Shri Mataji, there are no knots in the world, there are no more.
Today, witnessing this historical moment of great dynamism, depth and interaction of Sahaja Yoga in the world, I realize that each of us can choose to be a node (a problem) or the comb the solution). Thanks to the love, commitment and dedication of Sahaja Yogis, we can be the tool to solve the problems of humanity. Take this story as an opportunity to share someone’s experience who is very limited from a spiritual and intellectual point of view, who must still evolve a lot, and if this story has disturbed you, I apologize. With a lot of love and immense respect for all my brothers and sisters around the world I really value all the efforts that Sahaja Yogis make every day.
